What a Yahoo! Mail Account Promises to Bring

Create a New Yahoo! Mail Email Account

To set up a free email account including a new @yahoo.com email address at Yahoo! Mail:

1. Visit the Yahoo! Mail Sign up page.
2. Enter your name over First name and Last name.
3. Choose a username for Yahoo! Mail and type it over Yahoo username.
   • Your ​username will be the part in front of “@yahoo.com” in your new Yahoo! Mail email address; if you choose “example” as your username, for instance, your email address will be “example@yahoo.com”.

1. Enter a password for your Yahoo! Mail account over Password.
   • Make sure the password is as hard to guess as possible while you still can remember it; alternatively, use a password manager.
2. Type a mobile phone number (where you can receive calls or SMS text messages) over Mobile number.
3. Now enter your birthday under Birthday.
   

1. Choose either Male or Female.
2. Optionally, enter a secondary phone number to which you have access over Optional recovery number.
3. Check Yahoo! Mail’s privacy policy and terms of use.
4. Click Create account.
5. Now click Send SMS under Verification.
6. Type the code you received by SMS.
7. Click Submit code.

1. Optionally, import contacts and set up existing email accounts in Yahoo! Mail right away; otherwise, click Skip setup.
